Dave Evans is one of the clubs longest serving, a founding member, a played, a manager and recently becoming an important part on the Albion committee as Club Secretary.
He has played 294 games and scored 116 goals, he is one of only a few players to have scored over 100 goals for the club, twice winning “Club Top Goal scorer”, once winning “Reserve Team Top Goal scorer” and winning Sunday Team Top Goal scorer awards along his way. One of Dave’s most memorable goals was scored for Burgess Hill Albion Reserves in a game against Wealden FC at Poynings in 1997/98, Dave lobbed the goalkeeper from two yards inside his own half. Dave turned his skills to Manager and managed the Reserve Team twice, achieving 8 consecutive wins when taking over only half way through a season. A massive achievement for Dave was coming back after breaking in his leg in 2002 to play at the highest level he has ever played in Division 2. He has made at least one appearance in every season and still hopes to continue this tradition.
Dave created the Albion stat book which is kept up to date recording the Clubs main achievements and players appearances which includes the clubs top goal scorer. You could say that Dave should have his own Greatest Group based on the work he has put into the club. With the amount of goals his has scored over the years and his importance as a striker, is why he has been named as a Greatest Striker.

Neil joined Burgess Hill Albion in 2001/02 season playing 146 games for all teams. Neil's first competitive goal came on 26/01/02 v Lindfield IV helping the team win 6-4, his first hatrick came against Nutley in a 5-3 win. Neil is the second quickest player to reach 100 games for the club and his goals per game ratio is 1.327. In 2002/03 Neil was awarded Club, First team and Sunday team "Top Goalscorer" awards. The main reason Neil is being recognised as one of the Greatest Strikers for Burgess Hill Albion is in 2003 Neil managed to hit 5 hatricks in consecutive games an achievement which I believe has never happened anywhere else in the football world. This amazing stat made the local newspaper "The Argus" and also the national newspaper "The Star" but most of all it made Albion Club history and something I don't think will ever be seen again.

The games Neil scored the hatricks

1) SAT 25th OCT 2003 v Uckfield IV - won 9-1

2) SAT 01st NOV 2003 v Handcross Village III - won 3-2

3) SAT 08th NOV 2003 v Rotherfield II - won 5-1

4) SAT 15th NOV 2003 v Rotherfield   - won 5-2

5) SAT 22nd NOV 2003 v Horley Athletico - won 5-0

Peter started playing for Burgess Hill Albion Football Club in 1996 in the clubs first ever competitive fixture. He has played nearly 400 games in all teams, from goalkeeper to midfield but mostly as a striker producing some great goals over many seasons. Peter did turn his experience to management briefly managing Burgess Hill Albion Sunday team in 1999 for its first season taking them to a cup quarter final only to get beaten by The Potters. He is currently holding top spot for highest ever goal scorer, netting 141 goals in all competitions, Peter said "my greatest goal came in Albion's first season in the Crawley league, the ball came out to me from a corner, I chested the ball down onto my knee then hit a sweet volley with my right foot into the top right hand corner of the net"
Peter was the first player to reach 100 games, 200 games and has picked up numerous awards, Club Top Goal Scorer 1996/97, 2005/06 and first team top goal scorer for seasons 1996/97, 1997/98, 1998/99, 2003/04 and 2005/06, a great achievement for a striker. He has also picked up Managers Player of the season for 2006/07 and is still playing for the club to date. I think you would agree that Peter Billinghay has and is still one of the greatest players the club has ever seen.
